Meals on Wheels

New Hope Friends Church began a Meals on Wheels route through WAGES. This ministry provides nutritious meals to the homebound elderly and persons with disabilities in the Elroy community near our church. The Meals on Wheels program in Wayne County prepares the meals Monday thru Friday. Faithful volunteers pick up the meals from the WAGES building in town and drive on their appointed routes each day. The Elroy route, working out of New Hope, delivers meals to approximately 10 to 12 homes. These meals are provided in an effort to improve health and reduce isolation. These meals are often able to help individuals remain independent and avoid institutionalization. If you would like to help with this ministry, contact the church office for more information. The Elroy route is currently under the direction of Bobby Trivette.

Heart and Soul

Heart and Soul is a ministry based in Phoenix, AZ, founded by Goldsboro native, Joe Woodard. This ministry provides assistance and love to homeless people throughout the United States. Heart & Soul provides a meal card and hope for runaways and homeless. New Hope supports Heart and Soul through donation and by participating in their Meal Card Ministry. 

Gideons International

The Gideons have provided Bibles for people all over the world and in thousands of languages. As a church that values the Word of God, we support the work that Gideons do in making sure that the Word goes forth to every corner of the world.

Kriquette’s Kidz

Kriquette’s Kidz is a non profit organization supporting kids and families in Wayne County, NC.  Founded by Kriquette Davis, this extraordinary organization works year round to provide aid for children and families in need. Each Christmas they provide gifts and meals to families who will not be able to do so on their own. Each family is paired with a “shopper” who provides support and funds through a gift card to buy gifts for their children. 

FLOK (For the Love of Kids)

FLOK or For the Love of Kids is a ministry of New Hope Friends Church that provides weekend meals for children in need at Eastern Wayne Elementary School. Each week food is provided to be sent home with the children so that they are able to have meals over the weekend when school is not able to provide it. FLOK is organized and run by Charles and Judy Taylor.

Outreach Ministries Team

This ministry team at New Hope Friends Church provides encouragement to those in our congregation with cards and visits. The Team sends cards in response to prayer requests made to those going through difficult times. Each month, outreach makes home, hospital, and nursing home visits to shut-ins or those recovering from a surgery or hospital stay.
