Associate Pastor Search

New Hope Friends Church recognizes that a growing congregation needs increased pastoral support and oversight. Therefore, we are currently searching for an Associate Pastor to assist our Senior Pastor in leading, loving, serving, and pastoring God’s church at New Hope. The Associate Pastor should use appropriate skills to plan, implement, and oversee various ministries of the church.

• Profess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior
• Ability and passion for sharing the Gospel
• Know that spiritual calling is to minister in the church
• Preferable: two (2) years of experience in full time/part time ministry; and/or graduation from an accredited college or university; and/or an equivalent combination of experience and training
• Must be a positive and enthusiastic self-motivator, as well as, a team worker
• Possess outstanding leadership, planning, organizational, and administrative skills

• Assist the Senior Pastor in leading and overseeing the spiritual growth and development of the congregation
• Minister and provide pastoral care to people and families in our church and community, through the teachings of Jesus Christ; offering spiritual guidance in developing moral values firmly based on God’s Word
• When appropriate, provide personal grief or general counseling while maintaining strict confidentiality
• Participate in the church’s overall ministry and outreach by being involved in church and community activities
• Work closely with the Senior Pastor to develop and deliver sermon and teaching series
